NEW PLATFORM LAUNCHED TO HELP CANADIANS LIVING IN ISRAEL PARTICIPATE IN UPCOMING FEDERAL ELECTION

IsraelVotes.ca simplifies voter registration for Canadians abroad, ensuring their voices are heard in this critical election

Tel Aviv, Israel – March 30, 2025 – IsraelVotes.ca, a new platform designed to simplify the voter registration process with step-by-step prompts, has officially launched to encourage Canadian citizens living in Israel to vote in Canada’s federal election.

Founded by Elliot Gluck, a 23-year-old originally from Vancouver and currently participating in a five-month Masa program in Israel, IsraelVotes.ca aims to eliminate the barriers that often complicate voter registration for Canadians living and working abroad. Understanding the challenges firsthand, Gluck created the platform to help Canadians inIsrael exercise their democratic rights in this high-stakes election. “This is one of the most consequential elections in recent memory, especially when it comes to the future of Canada’s Jewish community and its relationship with its democratic ally Israel,” said Gluck.

Over the past 18 months, incidents of antisemitism and hate-motivated violence targeting the Canadian Jewish community have increased significantly. “It is critical that Canadian Jews make their voices heard, including Canadians living abroad – especially the 35,000Canadians living in Israel. Now is the time for all Canadians to get involved in the democratic process, no matter where they are in the world,” said Gluck.

The deadline to apply is officially April 22nd; however, since ballots are sent to and from Ottawa, voters should act as soon as possible. Ballots can take up to two weeks for a round trip. To ensure timely delivery and participation, it is crucial that voters register within the next two weeks.
